BLIZZARD book birthday and giveaway!

So life being what it is, I somehow missed BLIZZARD's book birthday last week.

I'm celebrating a belated birthday with a giveway. Time for something HOT-HOT-HOT since it's so cold-cold-cold outside. (I'm so done with this freakin' polar vortex. But at least Daylight Savings Time is coming!)

So...your choice of BLIZZARD or swag.

Read the blurb and excerpt and tell me why you want BLIZZARD. Be creative.  Or...fill out the Rafflecopter by liking the blog, Facebook pages or something else. I'll pick a winner in a few days!

BLURB:Mandy Malone ditches her pharmaceutical convention and the married male colleagues hitting on her to hurry home to her waiting family. But she doesn’t bank on the blizzard that forces her off the road and into a deserted rest stop. When she meets another road refugee, their attraction is immediate and molten hot. Suddenly, getting stranded doesn’t seem like such bad luck after all.

Although totally unprepared for Mandy’s unvarnished proposition, Jack is intrigued by the erotic offer of a promising night of no-questions-asked sex. But when he notices the wedding band on Mandy’s finger, will he forego the lure of a torrid clandestine affair, or give in to the fantasy of blazing hot sex on a wintry night?

EXCERPT:
She rooted around in her handbag again, on the off chance she’d missed something useful to her current situation.

“Is this what you’re looking for, lady?”Mandy glanced up, startled by the deep, rumbling baritone that echoed loudly in the fairly quiet building. And even more startled by the tall, gorgeous hunk of manhood bundled into a down parka standing next to her table.

I could totally jump him. Right here. Right now.

From nowhere, steamy erotic images of what she wanted to do with the man leaped unbidden into her head. She’d never felt such instant attraction to anyone, such a frantic desire. Maybe it was a reaction to her frightening experience on the Thruway. Or maybe something else created the overpowering chemistry.

Besides being the most handsome man she’d ever laid eyes on, he held out a battery-operated pocket charger. A sigh escaped her as he stared down at her.

“It’s not the only thing I’m looking for.” Her voice, husky and sultry, and laden with blatant sexual innuendo, shocked her. Where had those words come from? Nearly alone with him in the deserted rest stop…and still she felt…safe.

“Yeah?” The man removed his parka, revealing a plaid flannel shirt, the triangle of a white, cold-weather T-shirt peeping from the open neckline. When he raised his arms, thick bands of muscle rippled across his chest, beneath the layers of fabric. He riveted her with brilliant azure eyes, bluer than a lake under the summer’s sun. His hair, which curled a bit boyishly at his temples, resembled a wet beach, light, dirty brown, with shimmering bronze threads straggling through the locks. But this was no boy. No, indeed.

God. Gorgeous did not even begin to cover it. The longer he looked at her, the hotter she became. So hot she suddenly felt she’d do anything, dare anything with this man.

Happy Valentine's Day

My Valentine's gift to you...only 99 cents at Amazon and Barnes and Noble,  through Valentine's Day... FROST

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B8L2PY4/ref=rdr_kindle_ext_tmb

FROST, my sizzling (and maybe most romantic) 1Night Stand story about a succubus looking for something...more...on Valentine's Day...and a smoldering fire-demon and erotic artist who may be just a little too HOT to handle.

BLURB:
Dagney Night, a sought-after succubus, is no stranger to blazing hot sex. But as Valentine’s Day approaches, she longs for something more. When oddly erotic paintings arrive for display at her art gallery, arousing everyone who views them, she wonders about the mysterious artist who created the works.

Maxwell Raines, a fire-sex demon, lives a life of solitude and seclusion behind the walls of his compound at Sleepy Hollow, channeling his lustful impulses into his art—until his muse deserts him and his temperature rises past the danger point. He needs sex. Now.

When Madame Evangeline arranges a torrid Valentine’s 1Night Stand for them, will the flames of their encounter be too hot to handle?

EXCERPT:
Dagney followed her sister’s glance, and her heart flipped like a gymnast unable to nail a vault. Darkness swathed the gallery with the exception of the lights above or below each of the paintings. The large man emerging from the shadows held her rapt. Waves of pure, unadulterated lust smacked her with such force she didn’t even see Lily and Campbell leave. The blast of raw desire crumpled her to the floor. Her gaze remained riveted on the tall hunk of ferocious male stalking toward her, radiating undiluted carnality. He set something carefully on the floor and grasped her by the elbows, his touch surprisingly gentle when he lifted her to her feet.
“I’m Maxwell Raines.”
Yeah. No kidding. Who else could a guy so hot, so studly, possibly be?
She told herself not to swoon. Ordered herself not to swoon. But, Goddess, that rumbling voice. More potent than a train barreling over the tracks. And he smelled so good. Sinfully masculine. A bit of musk, a bite of pine, an essence of dark, smoky nights. Sexy scents. Reminiscent of tangled satin sheets that had been given a good work-out.
Her legs turned to rubber, and she doubted they’d support her on their own. She’d be mortified if he’d have to scrape her puddled body up again. But he hadn’t yet relaxed his grip. Could she bullshit her way through the meeting without collapsing? “You’re late,” she said.
“I’m never late.”
“Well, the party’s over, Mr. Raines.” She waved a hand around the empty room.
“Depends on your perspective.”
“You’re big on perspective, are you?”
“I’m a painter.” A brief shrug accompanied his blunt words. “Obvious connection.”
“Right. But as you can see, everyone’s left.”
“You haven’t.” He gazed down at her, a black brow flaring. “And you’re what I’m here for.”

IN FROM THE COLD...coming soon!

So thrilled and excited to announce I signed a contract yesterday for IN FROM THE COLD, my latest Sleepy Hollow 1Night Stand for Decadent Publishing.

The hero is Spook Raines, who is the long lost twin brother of Bhyrne Raines, the hero of HEAT WAVE, and the cousin of Max Raines, the hero of FROST!

He's a burnt-out spy.  And he doesn't know he's a fire-demon like the other Raines dudes!

The heroine is Geneviève Mortimer, a will o' the wisp, and demon hunter. She is a friend of Veronica Hardwicke's (the heroine of THUNDER).

When Madame Eve gets them together...the sparks fly!

Here's a sneak peek:

Geneviève Mortimer crept down the quiet hotel hallway, careful to bank her glow…at least for the moment. She sensed the presence of a demon on the floor, but something seemed off about the male’s aura. A weird lack of evil, as if an impenetrable force field surrounded his consciousness, his psyche. As if he thought he were… human.

Had he been brainwashed? Drugged? Raised by gypsies? By wolves? Wait. No. Scratch that last one. She didn’t get the "were" vibe at all with this one.

No matter, as a will o’the wisp and a Protector of the Legion of Shadows tasked with watching over humankind and keeping the unwary safe from visitors from the demon realms to the human plane, she lured the black-souled to their demise. Going all shine-a-light and sparkly until they fell under her spell and followed her anywhere. She needed to find this guy. Pounce first, beam a little hypnotic wattage, ask questions later. Take him out before he did any harm. To humans. Or innocents like her parents.

She sniffed. Getting warmer. Closer to the demon’s room. What would she find behind his door?

Tara Andrews' LONG OVERDUE

                                                LONG OVERDUE

Thank you for having me today, Taryn.  I know you recently celebrated Frost’s book birthday, and today is a little milestone for me, too.  Long Overdue has been out a whole week.  So it’s my one week release anniversary… well, weekaversary?
I know.  It can’t get any more exciting.  LOL.  But we need to celebrate the little things in life; otherwise we can get stuck in the same ole routine.  That’s where we find Blake at the beginning of Long Overdue.  He’s looking for a change and it leads him to contact 1Night Stand.  Only Madame Eve sends him Jill, who is all about protecting her heart.  Now Blake needs to convince her to see things his way.

Since I’m celebrating Blake and Jill’s story being out a whole week, I’ll be giving away a copy of Long Overdue to a commenter.  Please tell me the last thing you celebrated.  I’ll be using the high-tech method of having one of my kids pick a name from hat to choose a winner.
Blurb:

Jill Malone has been looking for love for all the wrong reasons. A reality check has her signing up for a no-strings attached night to simply forget about forever after. The last thing she expected was to know her blind date.

Blake Anders doesn’t need help finding a date, but he’s tempted by 1Night Stand’s reputation of arranging exactly what a person needs. And he needs more. Though doubtful, he agrees to one night and hopes to discover his perfect match. He didn’t count on Madame Eve reaching deep into his past to give him a night with the woman he never forgot.

Fearing another broken heart, Jill works to keep herself from becoming attached, but Blake goes all in to convince her that he wants their long-overdue love to be more than a one-night stand…

Excerpt:

“I think there’s been some sort of mistake,” she managed.

“But, we’re here. And I don’t think it’s a mistake.”

Of course, he’d be polite, while wondering what happened to the size zero, with extra-large breasts, he ordered. “I don’t know.” She shook her head and swore disappointment flashed across his face. “I’ll be honest; I am not comfortable.”

“And let me be honest. I’m looking forward to an evening with you.” Ooooh, smooth. Then again, she didn’t expect less, given his tabloid reputation. Still, her legs felt a little less stable.

She faced him. What really went on in his head? “You don’t find it strange that you know me?”

His killer smile set off butterflies in her belly and a warning bell in her mind. “No. In fact, it makes sense.”

“Why is that?”

“Because I used to wonder about you. A lot.”

Jill forgot to breathe. Forgot almost everything. Did he say…?

“Didn’t you ever wonder about me?”

Jill exhaled. “I’m taking the Fifth.” His smile grew. She shook her head, recognizing dangerous territory. “I’m still not sure.” Not sure she’d measured up. Not sure she’d survive with her heart intact.

“Stay for a drink.”

She wavered at his low-voiced offer. Dammit, he’d become even more handsome than she remembered.
