Enjoy the following excerpt for Destiny
Mine:
Her gaze travelled down his muscular body. Unlike many of
the other doctors who tended to gain a belly as they grew older and settled
into the comforts of married life, Adam Quarshie could overshadow any man in
his late twenties. His stomach had remained flat and his muscles strained
against his yellow button-down shirt when he moved.
She took her time raking her gaze up his body and to his
face. Her gasp of embarrassment stuck in her throat as her eyes met his.
Why did he have to have such an adorable grin? God could’ve
at least rotted his teeth to save the hearts of women all over Ghana.
“See something you like, Esi?”
She cleared her throat. “Yes, I do. Your shoes are nice.
Where can I get a pair for my brother?”
He chuckled. “My shoes. Hmm. I got them on Oxford Street in
Osu.”
“Thanks.”
He moved towards her, and she refused to step back as he
crowded her. He smelled amazing, like he was fresh from a shower. She struggled
not to move closer or inhale deeper.
“Or I could take you.” His voice came out soft yet had a
distinct rumble.
Did the man not know how to be anything but seductive?
If she checked her pulse, she knew it would be way above the
normal range. She snorted as she stepped around him and went to the patient’s
bedside. “I’m going home. You did a great job.” She tilted her head to view the
child’s face cradled in the new mother’s arms then smiled at the newborn’s
mother. “You were able to gather the strength to push the baby out. You are a
strong woman, Ama.”
Esi turned to Adam, not bothering to hide her annoyance.
“Are there any other patients you want to see?”
“I’ll come back to do ward rounds later. How about going to
Osu?”
“I’d rather…rather….” Fatigue had blocked her brain. Later
on in the day, long after it was too late, she’d think of any number of things
she could have said to put him in his place.
He raised an eyebrow. Their perfect arch sat over slanted
dark brown eyes.
“You’d rather what?”
“Eat a live snail.”
He scrunched his face. “Disgusting. No Osu for you, then.
Next time, I’ll ask to take you somewhere that won’t make you prefer eating
something raw and slimy over hanging out with me.”
“No such place exists, Quarshie.” They walked, rather, she
stalked while he strutted, down the hallway towards the nurse’s station.
“I’m sure there is somewhere, and one day I’m going to take
you there.”
She didn’t bother to look at him. “In your dreams.”
He winked. “Always in my dreams.”
Her heart skipped a beat as Sade’s classic song “Smooth
Operator” came to mind. She regarded him through narrowed eyes as he headed
towards the door. His heartbreaking ways didn’t appeal to her at all. Everyone
knew relationships weren’t his thing. She’d never even consider going out on a
date with him. She knew too many casualties of his charm. The type of guy who
would go to all sorts of lengths to get a woman on his radar. Once he caught
and used her, he moved to the next one…or two. After having once dated a
womanizer, she wouldn’t subject herself to that kind of man again.
No way. Not her. Never.

NEW RELEASE! IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT
IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT
NOW AVAILABLE!!
Derek Dunne is a Cordon Bleu-trained food critic for the prestigious New York Monitor, whose scathing review of a popular Italian bistro has driven away all but the most loyal neighborhood patrons.
Lucrezia Serafina DiCicco is a clumsy
business school drop-out, working as a chef and scrambling to keep her family's
restaurant afloat, after her father develops diabetes and is banned from his
kitchen for his own good.
Now, with The Monitor
folding, Derek is searching for his next career path and longing to get back to
his first love—cooking—while Lu is desperate for an influx of cash to save the
struggling restaurant…even as her father puts his foot down about non-family
employees.
Derek and Lu embark on a
marriage of inconvenience to save the restaurant. But can Lu ever really trust
the man who nearly destroyed her family, once noted her initials spelled “LSD,”
and her food was like a “bad trip?”
Or will it be their hearts on
the chopping block?
EXCERPT
She brushed her hands on her apron and
straightened her shoulders as she strode toward the bar. Not in the mood. So not in the mood. As if the hunky stranger
had come here looking for a
hook-up, rather than to send back his too-salty pasta fagiole or rubbery
calamari or register some
other grievance.
She looked a fright besides.
The moon might resemble a pizza pie but amore
did not live anywhere in the restaurant anymore, except in its name. As that bastard Derek Dunne had pointed out in his review. Vicious…but
truthful, she had to admit.
As she approached the customer, she
positioned herself with her back to the mirror over the bar, so she didn’t have to gaze at her sorry reflection. At
least no one else was at the bar to gawk
at her frazzled condition.
The man swirled
a pool of condensation on the burled
wood with his index finger.
Strong hands. No rings, she noted.
Up close and personal, his looks were even more devastating, the essence of hearty masculinity
radiating raw, contained power, his body taut with muscles beneath a
finely-tailored suit that stretched across broad shoulders, his blue eyes
intense enough to put her in a near trance. She gazed at his long, blunt fingers playing restlessly
on the bar and imagined him sliding them across her heated flesh.
Making her wet. Thrusting inside
her. His thumb stroking
her clit until
it swelled, the pleasure so unbearable he had her writhing with passion, screaming for release.
Holy cannoli! What the heck was wrong
with her? Was she that desperate? Yeah, probably.
And yeah, he looked that good. Good enough to eat. With or without
whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Oh, yeah. That image
helped cool down her roaring libido. Not.
Suppressing a
shiver, she cleared her throat. “I’m Lu DiCicco. You wanted to see me?

Hills Wolves. Portrait of a Lone Wolf is my first contribution to the series. I
have a second book coming soon.

A mixed-blood Native American
wolf-shifter, abandoned by a teenage mother and ignored by an absentee father,
Rio Waya has never fit in or felt worthy of love. But when he comes home to the
Black Hills, he realizes he wants a mate of his own.
Recovering from a cheating ex who started a new family behind her back, Sela López seeks escape to pull her life back together. As a documentary filmmaker and wildlife photographer, she rents a cabin in the Black Hills with plans to film the beleaguered wolf population. But she’s so busy looking through a camera lens she doesn’t see trouble coming.

She can’t figure out why the mysterious Mr. Waya is so anxious about having a documentary made of the Black Hills Wolves. But when his secret is exposed, all hell breaks loose. Can Rio win Sela’s trust and soothe her fears about allowing a hunky wolf-shifter into her heart?

#3 (WC 278)
“Medium
rare.” Gee set a steaming hamburger buried beneath heaps of fries and onion
rings in front of Sela.
Everything
on the plate looked delicious. “Thank you. I thought I ordered this to go?”
“Stay
awhile. Enjoy your food.” Gee gave Rio a sickly sweet little grin. “L.A. stood
up to you. I like her.”
The
crease between his brows deepened. “Gee, no one asked your opinion.”
She
gingerly picked up a fistful of scorching hot fries and ferried them over to
Rio’s plate.
He
appeared puzzled. “Why?”
“Peace
offering.” She wondered what he looked like when he smiled. “I’m sure yours are
cold by now.”
Rio
picked up one of the token offerings, lifting the hot french fry to his lips.
He didn’t even care he was about to get burned big time. In fact, he wanted the
pain. Better to take the punishment now than suffer a shitload of hurt after he
did something stupid like make a play for Sela López, which absolutely,
positively could not happen. To his eyes, she was knockout gorgeous with killer
curves. She had plenty of sass, too. She hadn’t backed down a bit from his most
withering I- just-put-you-in-your-place look.
Something
else caught him off-guard—her scent. One whiff of her subtle female aroma had
brought his blood to a boil.
Holy
crap, what had he gotten himself into? By the tone of her e-mail inquiries
about the cabin, he’d come to the false conclusion Miss López was a dried-up
academic collecting data about the Los Lobos wolf population. Instead, a Latina
temptress with an ass that made him want to bite his fist and whimper had shown
up.
