IN FROM THE COLD

 A 1Night Stand Story
Spook Raines is a burnt-out spy who doesn’t know he’s a fire demon with a twin in Sleepy Hollow.
Geneviève Mortimer is a will o' the wisp who hunts demons to ease the pain of her troubled past.
When Madame Eve brings them together for a torrid 1Night Stand, will they be able to come in from the cold at last?

EXCERPT:

Geneviève Mortimer crept down the quiet hotel hallway, careful to bank her glow…at least for the moment. She’d sensed the presence of a demon on the floor, but something seemed off about the male’s aura. A weird lack of evil, like an impenetrable force field surrounded his consciousness, his psyche. As if he thought he were…human.
Had he been brainwashed? Drugged? Raised by gypsies? By wolves? Wait. No. Scratch that last one. She didn’t get the were vibe at all with this one.
No matter, as a will o’the wisp and a POLO, Protector of the Legion of Shadows, tasked with watching over humankind and keeping the unwary safe from visitors from the demon realms to the human plane, she lured the black-souled to their demise. Going all shine-a-light and sparkly until the evil ones fell under her spell and followed her anywhere. She needed to find this guy. Pounce first, beam a little hypnotic wattage, ask questions later. Take him out before he did any harm. To humans, or innocents like her parents.
She sniffed. Getting warmer. Closer to the demon’s room. What would she find behind his door?
Ignoring the do not disturb sign, she jiggled the handle. Locked. But the absence of a key card wouldn’t be a problem for her, not with her brand of talent and the magick lock picks in her pocket. She got the door open in seconds and slinked into the room, masking her radiance, keeping to the shadows.
Holy shit. The scent of male arousal filled the air. Delicious, decadent, sublime. Total man candy, like nothing she’d ever smelled before. Calling to her sweet tooth. Her horny core. So intense, an ache blossomed between her legs. She closed her eyes and inhaled. Whoa. She could orgasm from the erotic scent of the guy alone. Was the dude going through breedspawn? Were all the rumors she’d heard of the full-on crazy, demon male mating phase more than myth? She’d sure never encountered anything as powerfully sexy as this.
Cripes. This sort of thing never happened to her. I’m a demon hunter, damn it. She remained professional always, despite her ditzy, scatterbrained reputation. Did her job. And did it well. She’d fooled even her closest friends, those who didn’t know about her role as a POLOS and didn’t guess the half of it. Those who thought she slut-flitted around the world searching for mischief, adventure and, most of all, pleasure, like some sort of fickle, commitment-shy, well, yeah sure, okay, will o’the wisp.

OMG! Hot, Hot and Hotter! Spook Raines is as hot as Max and Byrne but has no idea he’s a demon and caught by surprise by a Will o’ the Wisp Genevieve who hunts demons, well that is just the most interesting connection our darling Madame Eve could make for a one night stand. Their date on a yacht in the Hudson River is … well let me just say I am still sweating.  I need a very cold shower about now.
Aside from being a sizzling read, we get to see the other Raines in this one.  Loved seeing them again and those glimpses were not without heat themselves!
GO! Buy the books! All of them!!! They bring the mystery of the Hudson Valley to life in ways you could never imagine on your own!
5 Bikes and a Recommended Read from Harlie's Books:
...This is one of the most brilliant paranormal series that I’ve read. It features paranormal creatures that are interesting and not the norm...On.My. Word.  Honestly, I thought the hottest part of the book was the beginning when the meet in the hotel room.  Bring a fan and water.  Ms. Kincaid wrote this with a tenderness and erotic feeling that no matter happened later in the book, you knew that they were destined to be together.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzling read
Format:Kindle Edition

I've read only a couple of this series but both have been page turners. I love Ms. Kincaid's writing style and the way she brings the characters to life. There is always something that they have to work through but thank god they always work through it. Add to that this ties in nicely with the other books, which lends to the continuation of the series. I can't wait to read more from Taryn in the future.

5 Stars from Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

Another sexy read set in the world of Sleepy Hollow where the fire-sex demons are smokin' and their lady friends like the heat. Literally, in some cases.

Spook and Genny have some issues to work around before they can do the relationship thing. Spook doesn't know who he is and Genny is denying she's the very thing she hunts. Of the two, Spook's story got to me hard. He's completely cut off from his demon side and has no idea he's not alone in the world. I'd imagine that going through breedspawn when you don't know what that is or what to expect would be awful.

No worries, folks! Madame Eve steps in and hooks these two lost souls up. Yep, they steam up the sheets something fierce. We get answers to the Raines boys past and... did I mention the sex? Because fire-sex demons can BRING IT. Often. And with lots of dedication.

Who doesn't like demons dedicated to hardcore pleasure? NO ONE, THAT'S WHO!

4 Stars from Long and Short Reviews (LASR) :

This is a fun, seriously sexy story filled with lust and amazing chemistry. I really enjoyed how when they finally came together Genny owned her sexuality and kept pace with Spook through every touch and lick. There are plenty of strong secondary characters from Sleepy Hollow. Readers who have read the previous novels will almost certainly enjoy the catch ups with all of them, but this shouldn’t detract first time readers either. Genny and Spook’s story is front and centre and while it might be clear there are other stories you’ve missed, I found I could happily read this without the others.
There is tons of backstory filled in here. I found the author’s creativity was awesome and was really impressed with the depth of her world. I did, however, find it a little disorientating to read an action packed, paranormal spy story chock-full of slang and ultra modern street-talk. The two don’t seem to mesh well in my mind and while the author does a good job of it, I found the slang terms and modern speech patterns disjointing to read while also reading about Spook kicking ass and finding a computer chip he’d been on a mission to find. Many readers might find this far more comfortable than I – even enjoyable – but I found personally it kept pulling me out of the strongly paranormal storyline.
I feel that readers who have enjoyed previous Sleepy Hollow books will greatly enjoy this – especially the extra background that is divulged. I also think this book should appeal to readers who are fans of Ms. Kincaid’s style and other books. This is a fun, seriously sexy read with plenty of plot, action and a whole host of varied and interesting secondary characters. A great read.

BLURB:
Sent into the human realm to retrieve prodigal princess, Zena Night, Bhyrne Raines is shocked and unprepared for his carnal reaction to the sexy succubus. In service to the succubus queen, the rugged enforcer must stifle the instant passion exploding within him. Fulfilling his royal duty doesn’t allow for quickie dalliances. His biological clock is ticking, and he begins to enter breedspawn, an intense and unstoppable frenzy of mating all fire-demon males must endure. But the more he wants to avoid Zena, the more he’s drawn to her.
Reluctant to give up her carefree life of partying among the mortals when the hot-as-sin Bhyrne comes to fetch her for the queen, Zena uses her succubus wiles to entice him, or at least delay the inevitable trip to the royal court. Once in the demon stronghold, hidden deep within the Catskill mountains, she learns the reason for the summons: she must choose a consort within two days.
Zena needs a mate. Bhyrne needs to mate. With time running out for both of them, they each turn to 1Night Stand. With time running out, can Madame Eve come to the rescue?
 EXCERPT:
Holy freeze gun, Batman. The words died before she managed to expose them to air. Her mouth snapped shut.
One of the Queen’s guards stood before her, huge and tall, nearly twice the size of most of the other males in the joint, a hella hunka supernatural male. Clearly not human, although Hugo Boss’d to his Adam’s apple in an apparent bid to fit in among the humans trolling for hot sex, illicit drugs, watered-down booze and loud music. Beneath the fabric of the unstructured designer suit, the toned muscles of a demonic warrior rolled like tidal waves. Even without the small lapel pin the uninformed might mistake for the The Rolling Stones’ logo, she’d recognize him for a captain of the guard. Maybe the Queen’s own Captain.
Hellfire and cotton candy. Trouble. T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
But, by the goddess, whattahottie! Despite her certainty that his presence in the club corridor boded ill for her, the force of her sudden hunger shook her.
Like lightning.
Thunder.
A desperate bolt out of the blue.
Instant connection to him on the paranormal plane, as if he’d wrapped her aura in gold chains and tugged her to him. But did that fast lane to heaven run one way or two?
A grim expression straightened the lines of what otherwise might have been a generous, sensuous mouth. A military buzz cut had weed-whacked hair the color of iron. And it didn’t stop there. Without doubt, metal fortified every single cell in the massive male’s body, pure titanium flowing in his veins. The stern planes and angles of a hard-edged, swoon-worthy face set grimly as cement. Though he lounged in the hallway like any Archie or Jughead waiting in line to discharge his rented beer in a urinal, he exuded authority, his carriage and bearing such that he made the others look like a pack of Twizzlers. Oh. Yeah. More than a mere guardsman, she guessed. An enforcer.
Ruh-roh.

REVIEWS:

5 stars from Reviewing Vixens:

"Heat Wave by Taryn Kincaid is this author’s fourth installment in the Sleepy Hollow series as well as a new and exciting addition to the 1Night Stand series. As is traditional it’s short, hot and leaves you wanting for more as you desperately fan yourself in vain hope of lowering your body temperature.

Zena Night is a succubus, doing what a succubus does and doing it very well, if she does say so herself. But, ever since her sisters have mated, she’s noticed a distinct lacking within her own life. Enter the Queen’s lackey, a lot of hot, sexy and drop dead gorgeous all in one package. Sadly he’s only there to ferry her off to the Queen’s court for something she’s very sure will not be a feel good time.

Bhryne Raines, cousin to artist Maxwell Raines who just so happens to be mated to Zena’s sister Dagney, is on a mission for the Queen. The timing though could have been better. He’s got trouble on the horizon and it only gets worse while in the presence of the sultry succubus. Now if he can only keep his cool, in more ways than one, he might just get what he wants from the entire deal.

The heat rises quickly in this book as Zena and Bhyrne are thrown together. Hormones run rampant, need is in the air and you can all but feel the tension seeping from the pages of this story. The author has written another amazing addition to her Sleepy Hollow series that hits all the points in this reviewer’s checklist. Only advice I’m going to give, get it before these two go up in flames!"

5 stars from Kelly of Reading the Paranormal:

"This book is SCORCHING HOT! Don't get me wrong, the other books in this series were delicious, but Taryn Kincaid turned up the heat in a BIG WAY for Zena and Bhyrne's story. *fans self*

Honestly, both Zena and Bhyrne are in tough situations. Zena needs to fulfill her royal duty and find a mate and Bhyrne is having his man-time. That doesn't sound right. He's having his man mating time. No, still not right. He's in heat and he needs to find the right person to mate with. THAT! Good thing Madame Eve is on hand to make sure these two do the right thing and hook up.
...
Sexy as hell and hot enough to melt your panties. You know, I kinda love the supernaturals who live in Sleepy Hollow. They're full of sass and sexy times. I LIKE BOTH THOSE THINGS!"

"Madame Eve strikes again!

Decadent Publishing’s 1 Night Stand (1NS) series is my go-to for quick, sexy reads.

This story is smokin’ HOT!! The book is aptly named and I cannot believe that I have not discovered Taryn Kincaid before!

I loved the author’s use of popular slang in the vernacular. I absolutely adored Zena! Her witty dialogue had me laughing out loud!

“Still, she didn’t relish getting sluttified and tagged by a double standard that applauded man-whores for their manic sexual escapades, while whamming her with the bitch slapdown.” – Well said Zena!

Bhyrne Raines definitely lives up to his name! This demon is all kinds of sexy! I thought his level-headed demeanor as the Queen’s enforcer was balanced beautifully by the crazy, out-of-control succubus! I was so glad Madame Eve paired these two up because their coupling was explosive! I loved the characters, I loved it all!

Taryn had me at hellfire and cotton candy! I highly recommend this series to everyone!"

"A" from Smitten with Reading:

Whoa...what a way to start a book. Zena is a succubus and she starts out the book doing what she does best...pleasuring a stranger. Bhyrne has been sent to bring her back to the queen, but he has a small problem...he's going into Breedheat which makes him seriously horny, but even without that he'd have a really hard time resisting the pull to Zena. They have instant, amazing chemistry that they are both feeling.

Loved, loved, LOVED this book! Omg, it was sexy. Bhyrne is in such a bad way, but he has an iron will which is really impressive considering who he's dealing with. The story was great. I liked every single bit of Bhyrne and how protective he is of Zena even though he's the one in charge of making sure that she gets to the Queen's place. Once he gets her there, he backs her up, even at a great risk to himself.
It was just a pure smexy story and has definitely been my favorite of the series. Highly recommend! ~ Christi Snow

4.5 spiders from Close Encounters with the Night Kind:

Well demons and Madam Eve's One Night Stand Series?  What a perfect combination for a before bedtime read!  Bhyrne is sent on the distasteful task of fetching a royal succubus home for the queen.  This stoically HOT enforcer has a body built for sin and Zena is licking her lips about the prospect.   But time is short for both of our sexy demons.  Can Madame Eve pull off the One Night Stand that might save them both?  This was a great short, creative little story that was infused with the author's unique quirky humor.  She brings a smile, even while she's heating it up in the bedroom!!

5 pitchforks from Tera, Queen of the Succubi:

"We first met Zena in the first work of this series Lightning along with her two Succubus sisters. When she appeared there, there was something different about her compared with her two sisters. She was really not exactly like them and was referred to as the “older sister.” She was, as well, very much acting like a Succubus and in the short scene she appeared in, really only seemed to care about finding a partner for sex… before finding another one. I was wondering at the time if that meant something more, and I found quite a lot of my questions about Zena answered in this work.

Initially she is very much a Succubus that cares only about being a “wild child” and really not much else. It comes to pass, as this story unfolds, that there is quite a lot more to her which made her as interesting as, if not more, than her sisters were to me. Part of that is her connection to the Succubus Queen of this series, Velda, which was something that I did not expect to be honest. Some of that is her internal voice, which compared to her sisters is very clear and truly different. She can be manipulative and demanding at times, but it is what happens when Bhyrne appears that caught me. Her feelings, thoughts and actions, all that she thought were her power… don’t quite work as she expects. But then again, Bhyrne isn’t what she was expecting either.

Bhyrne, who’s connection to another character in the series is perfect I think, is a wonderful example of someone that can, and does, go toe to toe with Zena in spite of the problems he has at that moment and his history. I respect characters that have a sense of honour and Bhyrne has that many times over. It is the repartee between him and Zena that just felt right. It was teasing in the right way, hot at the right moment, and at the same time you saw within them their own faults and fears tugging them here and there.

At the edges of this story is another one, lightly touched on of the world that Zena is a part of and the Queen of the demon realm Velda. I would have liked to know more about her, how she is different from her sister, whom she took the place of. I would have liked to know how it was that Zena was allowed to be “adopted” into the Night family and become one of the sisters. I would have liked to know more about Zena’s mother, her father… really much of that world is cloaked in shadow and hints, but not brought into focus.

I do realize that this work is erotica, but here’s the thing, within the erotica is a larger, powerful story I think and we have the hints of it in the Sleepy Hallow series when each sister appears. There is a world with stories that I would love to know the answers for. I’ll just reveal two of them. One, why is it so odd for roses to be present in the demon realm? What was it that forced, or otherwise demanded that Zena leave and be the wild Succubus she was? I have my thoughts, but it would be nice to know… Along with about a dozen other questions I have, but then I do tend to over think some story universes at times…

Then there is the question of Madame Eve… I know, I do, that she is a creation used to connect stories together in the 1NightStand universe but here’s the thing… I can see her being a Succubus, though not an “evil” one because none of the Night sisters are evil. I know that story can never be answered truly, but really considering what she arranges and how? It really would not surprise me in the slightest…

I smiled, quite a lot, at all of the hardware store references at the beginning of the story, it was just silly enough and felt right coming from Zena and Bhyrne. The ways that their reactions to each other were described, from the first moment, there was an instant connection, but over time it was more than that.

When the climax of the story came, and my did it ever do so, what Zena felt on her way through the castle had the right heat, the right emotion and more. When she and Bhyrne saw each other, his reaction, her needs and his… That was squirmingly hot and the picture I had in my thoughts was delicious…

As the cap to the series so far, it felt right, it ended on the right note, and it was, really, overall a beautiful work of Succubus erotica. I have but one little nit with the work… I really would have liked to see what comes in the after. There is a hint, an idea, but it isn’t told and I found myself wanting to know that…

I can hope for another work in the series can’t I?

I’m giving this work five out of five pitchforks.

Oh I do want more from this universe and these three sisters, so very much so. What happens to Zena and Bhyrne when the story ends will be in the back of my mind for a very long time to come. There is a huge universe of stories to play in and perhaps someday that time will come…
It would be wonderful if it did." ~ Tera

A "Rose that Rules All" from Shyla at Romancing the Book:

Can I just start off by saying this story was aptly named?  * fans face* Smoke rose from the pages starting with the first paragraph!
These characters burst off the pages and the connection between them is flammable with a capital F! While this is a part of a series it easily stands alone. I highly recommend it.

FROST

 This one will melt you!

NOMINATED FOR A 2014 AUTHORS AFTER DARK BOOKIE AWARD!

The heroine is Dagney Night, a sexy succubus, looking for more than sex as the busiest night of the year -- Valentine's Day -- looms.  We first met Dag in LIGHTNING, my first 1Night Stand story. She's the sister of Lily Night, LIGHTNING's heroine. In fact, Dagney talked Lily into signing up with Madame Evangeline's exclusive, high-end dating service, 1Night Stand, in the first place. Now, Dag decides to give 1NS a shot.
The hero is Maxwell Raines, a mysterious artist and reclusive fire-sex demon, whose paintings have a strange effect on everyone who views them at Dagney's Night gallery.

BLURB:

Dagney Night, a sought-after succubus, is no stranger to blazing hot sex. But as Valentine’s Day approaches, she longs for something more. When oddly erotic paintings arrive for display at her art gallery, arousing everyone who views them, she wonders about the mysterious artist who created the works.

Maxwell Raines, a fire-sex demon, lives a life of solitude and seclusion behind the walls of his compound at Sleepy Hollow, channeling his lustful impulses into his art—until his muse deserts him and his temperature rises past the danger point. He needs sex. Now.

When Madame Evangeline arranges a torrid Valentine’s 1Night Stand for them, will the flames of their encounter be too hot to handle?

EXCERPT:
Dagney followed her sister’s glance, and her heart flipped like a gymnast unable to nail a vault. Darkness swathed the gallery with the exception of the lights above or below each of the paintings. The large man emerging from the shadows held her rapt. Waves of pure, unadulterated lust smacked her with such force she didn’t even see Lily and Campbell leave. The blast of raw desire crumpled her to the floor. Her gaze remained riveted on the tall hunk of ferocious male stalking toward her, radiating undiluted carnality. He set something carefully on the floor and grasped her by the elbows, his touch surprisingly gentle when he lifted her to her feet.
“I’m Maxwell Raines.”
Yeah. No kidding. Who else could a guy so hot, so studly, possibly be?
She told herself not to swoon. Ordered herself not to swoon. But, Goddess, that rumbling voice. More potent than a train barreling over the tracks. And he smelled so good. Sinfully masculine. A bit of musk, a bite of pine, an essence of dark, smoky nights. Sexy scents. Reminiscent of tangled satin sheets that had been given a good work-out.
Her legs turned to rubber, and she doubted they’d support her on their own. She’d be mortified if he’d have to scrape her puddled body up again. But he hadn’t yet relaxed his grip. Could she bullshit her way through the meeting without collapsing? “You’re late,” she said.
“I’m never late.”
“Well, the party’s over, Mr. Raines.” She waved a hand around the empty room.
“Depends on your perspective.”
“You’re big on perspective, are you?”
“I’m a painter.” A brief shrug accompanied his blunt words. “Obvious connection.”
“Right. But as you can see, everyone’s left.”
“You haven’t.” He gazed down at her, a black brow flaring. “And you’re what I’m here for.”

This story was on fire! I wish I could tell you why but that would take all the fun out of it. This satisfied my need for romance, sensuality, and smoking hot sex. I mean is there any other kind? Ms. Kincaid is like a lyricist. Her carefully chosen words set the mood beautifully...
Max Raine is delicious, dark, and sinful. Like chocolate with chipotle sauce... Frost was a phenomenal read I highly recommend.

Recommended Read!  I liked Dagney. She is smart and has a cute inner voice that made me smile a couple of times... I liked Maxwell too. He is a sexy bad boy who wants someone to call his own... The love scenes between them are blistering hot.

5 Stars from Reading the Paranormal: "Holy... wow! There's a whole lot of sexy going on here. A whole lot. Between Max's paintings and Dagney's succubus sex drive, things are smokin' from page 1! .... This series is ridiculously sexy and fun and Dagney and Max are the most combustible of the couples yet."~ Kelly

4 stars from Long and Short Reviews:
"When Dagney and Max meet, I thought my eReader was going to ignite. The emotions and lust that rolled through Dagney like a freight train was a lot of fun to experience. The chemistry between the two was amazing but the tortured soul of Max was what I loved most. Even with this being a short story, the secondary characters were able add humor and dimension to the plot.
Frost is the third book in the Sleepy Hollow series by author Taryn Kincaid. Without reading the previous two books I didn’t feel lost, however if the previous two books were as hot as this one I admit I’m missing out. If you enjoy sexy reads full of humor, then I think you’ll like this one."

4 Stars from Reviewing Vixens: Excellent Read-Highly Recommended: "This is another amazing read for anyone that likes it sizzling, I'd recommend it."

4 Stars from That's What I'm Talking About: "Frost is a lovely, sensual work, full of gorgeous descriptive detail with sultry undertones. I delighted in reading Dagney’s POV as she views Max’s work. The way she describes the paintings and their erotic impulse effects is a mixture of sensual and artistic which is sublime. . . The couple are quietly romantic and a perfect fit for one another...The story is sexy, sensual and romantic...

5 Stars from Dangerosa:  Fun, sexy read : "What woman hasn't wished for that perfect Valentine's Day? Dagney may be a succubus, but this year she's just one of the girls. Kincaid combines sex, romance, humor, wit and a little pathos in this nicely balanced story. There's also a succubus and a fire-sex demon thrown in for good measure. Frost is a very satisfying read. Next time someone mentions Valentine's Day, I'm going to think of it with a whole new perspective. "

4 Stars from Reviews by Molly :"What a fiery way to melt the frost! Frost is a sexy, dangerous, dark, and just spicy enough short story in the popular 1 Night Stand series...  The chemistry between the two as it literally licked, and flamed right off the pages."~ Nicole

4 Stars from Coffee and a Book Anytime: "I’ve had the pleasure of reading other books by Taryn Kincaid and they were all very sexy, satisfying reads. Frost is another very sexy and oh-so-satisfying read! Frost may be a short story but it packs a sexual punch right from the beginning. This is the perfect book if you’re looking for something sinfully sexy that will only take a couple of minutes to read."  ~ Julie Kor

THUNDER
A 1Night Stand Story

Blurb:

Lonely young witch, Veronica Hardwicke, has struggled to get on with her life after the death of the elderly husband who’d left her a fortune and a sprawling estate in mystical Sleepy Hollow. When frightening things go bump in the night on a stormy Fourth of July, who better to call than the sexy developer and contractor, Sean Jones, who's been renovating her mansion for months?
Sean may grace the tabloid pages with a different supermodel on his arm every night, but it's Veronica who drives him nuts. Ignoring his instinct to stay away, he answers her summons.

Will the thundering passion of their 1Night Stand tear down the barriers between them?
Excerpt:
Veronica paced back and forth in the grand entry foyer of the Belmont mansion, the kitten heels of her Prada mules clacking on the marble floors.
The rest of the place might not be finished, but she’d insisted on having a few rooms completed, so at least she felt like she was living in a home, rather than a massive, never-ending construction project. Well, her contractor had insisted, even though working around the main entrance and central hallway created more work for him and his crew. But she was forced to admit he was right.
Her cell phone chimed on top of the antique credenza shoved flush against one wall. She leaped for it. Probably Geneviève, to regale her with all the fun she was having in Paris. Or Sean, to advise her he couldn’t make it after all. She sighed and read the text message on the small screen.
Congratulations, Veronica. 1Night Stand has found your date. Have a good time.
With both anxiety and mounting excitement, she stared at the screen and waited. No other info. Outside in the night, thunder boomed. She jumped then laughed at herself.
Ghosts are one thing, but freaking out at the weather now? Cripes, you really do need this date!
She let her imagination run wild, then texted back for more details:
When? Where? Who?
An insistent pounding at the front door jarred her out of her fantasy. She swung the door open on another explosive crack of thunder.
Sean stood on her doorstep, his soaked T-shirt molding sculpted pecs and abs, his drenched hair flattened over his brow. Rain poured down as he fiddled with his iPhone, a bemused expression on his face. Behind him, jagged arrows of lightning tore the dark sky. He glared at the screen, glanced at her in confusion, then back at the screen.
Veronica’s own phone pinged again. Thunder roared. She read the message in disbelief.
You’re looking at him.

REVIEWS:

4.5 stars from Reviewing VixensThis was another spirited, all around terrific, if short (really wish these were longer!) read by Taryn Kincaid and I'm recommending this as another must have for a quick read in your library. Quite enjoyable and I may just have to look up some of her other works - and soon.

4 stars from Long and Short ReviewsTaryn Kincaid has done it once again. Thunder grabbed my attention right from the start... This is a very faced-paced and exciting book. The attraction between Sean and Veronica is powerful and enchanting... If you’re looking for a fast read that will get your heart racing and add a bit of excitement to you day, then grab a copy of Taryn Kincaid’s Thunder. The characters and their situation are interesting and entertaining. It was a fun, quick read, well worth my time.

4 stars from The Romance StudioMs. Kincaid gave us a story which made me laugh and also made me sweat... I loved the reason it turned out that Veronica needed Sean (I mean besides the hot, personal, skin time). The two of them were very funny together, especially after Sean got a grip, so to speak, and began to see Veronica as more than a batty client. This story makes me wonder if we will be seeing any other 1Night Stand stories in Sleepy Hollow. I would read them!

Blurb:

In mystic Sleepy Hollow, succubus Lily Night put her prom date, Campbell Jones, into a coma after a night of wild, unbridled sex. She has steered clear of mortals ever since, afraid of damaging them or worse, not to mention the inconvenience of knocking out the power every time they have sex.

Successful architect Campbell Jones has lived with strange powers and a sexy secret since that prom night. He’s buried himself in work to forget the woman who’d dumped him at the ER then vanished from his life without a trace.

Neither Lily nor Campbell have forgotten that night or the love they’d shared. Will a 1Night Stand help them bury their past?
Excerpt:

“A little higher and more to the left.”

Lily Night narrowed her eyes as the building maintenance man shifted her framed diploma on the freshly-painted wall opposite her desk. She tried not to ogle the firm ass encased in a pair of tight jeans or the way the man’s shoulder muscles rippled beneath his T-shirt.

Maybe if I pop an Altoid, I’ll have an excuse to wipe away the drool.

She refrained from jumping the handsome worker dude’s bones. The last time she’d dallied with a human, the encounter had not gone well. Vivid images of that long ago prom night bombarded her. Campbell Jones had been a young, strapping, hunk-and-a-half football player and they’d started their date full of hope and expectation and lust. When he’d adjusted the fragrant gardenia corsage on her wrist, she’d inhaled his crisp, citrus scent and thought she might swoon at the sight of him in his tux. The black material stretched across broad shoulders that mirrored the promise of the bruising man he’d be in his prime. But she’d all but sucked him dry as flashes of lightning crackled over their heads. By the time dawn painted the sky, she’d turned him into a mere shadow of his former self. Literally.

And briefly knocked out cell phone service in the lower Hudson Valley, as well.

She’d sworn off humans ever since. Instead, she pulled all-nighter after all-nighter to evade the dreams in which men called to her—and to avoid the university dating scene that inevitably led to frequent and addicting sex.

Mortals. Bleh.

I love demon books and this little short didn't leave you lacking! ...Loved the story and it was quite sizzling and funny!!

4.5 pitchforks from Tera, Queen of the Succubi:
I know that I will love a story when in the first few pages I have some tears, some laughs and a sense of wonder about what will come next. To be able to connect characters together in that way, to have them be real on the page and in your mind is… special. It doesn’t hurt to have the core of the story to be between two souls that are seeking each other. It doesn’t hurt to have those souls touch again, fall into the old ways they shared again. It isn’t wrong to have those characters entwine themselves in a way that is truly special for them both. It is the way good stories, never mind good erotica, should be written.

"A" from Smitten with Reading:

Ten years ago, Lily and Campbell had the most amazing prom night ever. Unfortunately, it left him in a coma for two months, something succubus, Lily, has never forgotten. Since then she’s a bit gunshy about her sexuality and never considers sleeping with mortals anymore. Despite the fact that her practically celibate nature is killing her, she’s sure this is the best route. Finally her sisters convince her to use Madame Eve’s services

Campbell was irrevocably changed that prom night and even though it left him in a coma for two months, he’s never forgotten Lily. He still wants her and wonders what happened to her because after that night she completely disappeared.
I loved this story. This was definitely a love rediscovered story. It had such an interesting twist with the succubus aspect to it. I loved the creativity of it and the fact that both these characters continued to yearn secretly after the other, even all these years later. It was a very natural feeling story even with the paranormal side. It was also incredibly sexy. I could feel the tension between the two leap off the page. I truly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the others in this series about the succubus sisters by Taryn Kincaid. ~ Christi Snow
