Hudson Valley Magic for The Dream Voyager

Someone loves Rafe!  Aside from me and Katy and some of you guys.
Turns out "Rafe" may be more tired than I imagined, though...even taking into consideration that he's been dozing for three hundred years.  His name's apparently tired, anyway.
So...if we were going to pep him up and call him something else, what would we call him?
Keep in mind, he's a hotter, hunkier, more sizzling and steamy (about to be a LOT more sizzling and steamy) version of this guy...and he's a Van Winkle.

So "Raphael" is probably also out of the question.
Roy? No.
Roger? Definitely not.
 Ralph? I don't think so.

Rick?

Hmm.
I could probably live with that.

What do you think?
Suggestions welcome.

That's sort of cryptic, but I hope it's what I think!

Rolfe? What about Ray? Ryder. Ross. Rory. Ryan - Rylan, Roman, Russ.

How about Raven? I've always kind of liked heroes with that as their "tag".

BTW, if you hit the wrong key when typing heroes, it's quite a different connotation! LOL!

Yep! I will have some exciting news tomorrow!
I think it'll probably end up being Richard and Rick. Maybe Robert and Rob. I think it has to be at least somewhat consistent with his time period and heritage.
Kind of like Ryder and Rory...and, as you know, I've always loved ROYCE!
We'll see how it goes.

ROYCE! Of course it's perfect! Oh I am so excited! Mr W thinks I'm nuts, cause it's not my news, but just as damn good. He so doesn't get it!

Trying again!

Royce - use it! Love it, as you know, I'm partial to it! LOL!

YAYAYAYAY!

Yep, it's been a good week. I'm totally psyched and excited. BUT...let's not get ahead of ourselves. Nothing's definite yet. Got work to do!

I like Rory. Roger, Ralph and Rick just don't sound heroic enough, but that's just my opinion.

I like Rory, too. Just not for this guy. Leaning toward Ryck at the moment. That has sort of an Old Dutch flavor, I think, more in keeping with Van Winkle. I'm trying to stay closer to "Rip."

I like Ryck! It has a great sound to it. Have you decided yet?

Hi, Heather.
Thanks for stopping by. Your blog is swell.
As for me and my hero to be named later...
He's been named.
I've done a search and destroy, uh, I mean, bait and switch, oh, wait, find and replace already and Chapter 1 has gone out the door.

He's Ryck.

(Until I hear otherwise.)

I'm pronouncing it "Rick" in my head. But I know other people will see it as "Rike." Kind of like the controversy over the Van Wyck Expressway

I like Ryck - although in my head it sounds like Rike :)How about Rip? Eh, just a thought. It was great seeing everyone this past Saturday.

How about Raul or Rex or Rafael. Maybe Ringo. How about the hero formerly known as Rafe. Rik. Ryker. Rube. Maybe you could rhyme body parts. Ripple. Rick. Renis. Ralls. You get the idea. I don't know how productive this is, but I'm having a blast!!!

Boy, if I ever needed an R name for a character I have found many ones to pick from! I came into this discussion too late. Have no idea why you needed to change the name, but I enjoyed the comments!

Had you been at our Saturday meeting...

Just kidding. I've been asked to rename and revise.

I'll email you.

Great picture, but then I have always had a thing for unusual trees. The stranger, the better!

Have a great week! Personally I like the name Rafe!

Thanks, Angela. I liked Rafe too. But Ryck's growing on me!
